BIOGRAPHY

Graduating with a degree in Media Studies, Charlie began her career at BRMB Radio in Birmingham fronting a range of programmes before moving to the BBC Radio in Birmingham to host the Afternoon Show, a mix of features, current affairs and music. Charlie worked in BBC Radio for several years as presenter and reporter at both local and network level before joining ITV Central as weather presenter. Whilst at Central TV Charlie has presented series such as Preview and The Weekend Show and was team captain on You Don't Say. Her personal highlights from these programmes include singing with David Essex, playing darts with Engelbert Humperdink, sharing an acting scene with John Thaw and sharing a pint with Les Battersby on the set of her favourite soap. Charlie inspired local musician Christopher Sidwell to write and record the song 'My Favourite Weather Girl' to which, Charlie says, you are made to listen if you visit her home.

Charlie was central TVs first 'weather girl',she has said that treats it as more than just a job, and confesses to being a bit of a meteorological anorak.Her career has involved a lot more than just tv and radio.She has appeared as a guest at many shows and events all over the region and has also done plenty of work at conferences as a guest speaker,etc.
